SimpleSMPR is a WordPress plugin that allows you to identify social media press release elements in a blog post. The elements will become machine-readable, allowing internet tools to automatically scan your release and process the information for distribution. Internet tools will also be able to parse your release and present a deconstructed view to journalists and the public.

In addition to tagging SMPR elements, this plugin will create Technorati tags, del.icio.us links, and digg links for you.

Compatibility
SimpleSMPR has been tested with WordPress 2.0.4 and should be compatible with any version at or above 2.0.

Installation

1. Download the simplesmpr.php file. (see the end of this article for the download location)
2. Copy simplesmpr.php into your WordPress plugins directory (wp-content/plugins).
3. Login to WordPress Admin.
4. Go to the Plugins page and click Activate for SimpleSMPR.
5. All functions are available from the post editor page.
